Performance Standards That Define Every FOWALL Facade
Verified Metrics. Zero Guesswork.
A curtain wall specification is only as credible as the performance data behind it. At FOWALL, every facade system is tested and verified to internationally recognized standards — not promises, but documented performance across five critical dimensions.
International Curtain Wall Standards Framework
FOWALL curtain wall systems are developed, tested, and documented against the following standards bodies. Each project compliance matrix is tailored to local building code requirements and the architect performance specification.
Five Performance Dimensions — Engineered & Verified

Structural Performance
Designed for wind loads, building movement, and long-term stability. FOWALL uses 6063-T5 and 6061-T6 aluminum extrusions with mullions engineered to L/175 or L/240 deflection limits. Connection systems accommodate ±25 mm inter-story movement in seismic zones.
- Wind load per ASCE 7, AS/NZS 1170.2, or Eurocode 1
- ASTM E330 static pressure differential testing
- AAMA 501.4 dynamic wind load by aircraft engine simulation

Air Tightness
Multi-layer EPDM gasket system with closed-cell design and precision CNC extrusion (±0.2 mm tolerance) ensures consistent compression along the full profile length. Pressure-equalized drainage cavities reduce differential pressure across exterior seals.
- Benchmark: ≤ 0.3 L/s·m² at 300 Pa (ASTM E283)
- Lab ASTM E283 + field ASTM E783 / AAMA 503
- Corner and joint sealant detailing per ASTM C1193

Water Penetration Resistance
Four-layer water management: exterior rainscreen with pressure-equalized chamber, integrated drainage channels with weep holes at every transom, continuous internal air seal, and gravity-driven water evacuation.
- Benchmark: 5000+ Pa under ASTM E331 static + AAMA 501.1 dynamic
- Suitable for high-rise, coastal, and tropical applications
- At 100 m height, design wind pressure can exceed 3,000 Pa

Thermal Performance & Energy Efficiency
Configurable from standard to net-zero-ready systems achieving U-Value 0.27 W/m²·K. Frame thermal breaks from 24 mm to 34 mm polyamide strip with foam insert. Glazing options: double IGU Low-E argon fill to triple IGU dual Low-E krypton fill.
- Standard: 1.6–2.0 W/m²·K (double IGU, warm-edge spacer)
- High-Performance: 0.27 W/m²·K (triple IGU, krypton fill)
- Calculated per NFRC 100 + ISO 12631 area-weighted method

Acoustic Insulation
Asymmetric laminated glass configurations break sound wave coincidence. Wider IGU cavities (≥16 mm) improve low-frequency attenuation. Continuous gasket compression eliminates acoustic flanking paths.
- Benchmark: STC 45 dB (ASTM E90 / ISO 10140-2)
- Acoustic sealant and mineral wool at slab edge perimeter
- Meets requirements for offices near transportation corridors

Why Specify FOWALL Curtain Wall Systems

Engineering-Led, Data-Backed, End-to-End
Every FOWALL system is developed by engineers who understand how facades perform — not just how they look. Performance data, not marketing language, supports every claim on this page. From aluminum extrusion through fabrication, assembly, and shipping — quality is controlled end-to-end under one system.
